OUR BELIEFS
Jesus
We confess Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and the gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. Jesus Christ is the Word of God becoming truly human – God taking on flesh and blood in the person of Jesus through whose life, death and resurrection fashions a new creation.
The Bible
This congregation accepts canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God and the authoritative source and norm of its proclamation, faith, and life. Inspired by God’s Spirit speaking through its authors, the Bible records and announces God’s revelation centering in Jesus Christ to create and sustain Christian faith and fellowship for service in the world.
Communion
We confess that Christ’s body and blood are present “in, with and under” the bread and the wine of Holy Communion. We confess that God works through Holy Communion to create and sustain Christian faith. Open communion is practiced. All are welcome at the Lord’s table.
